Support – PC Stick
This version of NexDock comes with bluetooth keyboard and touchpad. In order to use NexDock with PC Sticks or Mini PC you might need a wired/wireless mouse to connect NexDock bluetooth keyboard and touchpad. Since Windows 10 and most operating systems support automatic bluetooth connection after reboot and NexDock will always try to connect the last paired device, you would not need to a wired/wireless mouse in future connections.
What is included
HDMI to Mini HDMI Cable – Micro-USB to USB Cable
What you will need (only once)
USB Wired/Wireless Mouse
Quick Setup Guide
Use the mini-HDMI to HDMI cable for display and micro USB to USB cable for power to connect your PC Stick to NexDock. Press and hold power button on NexDock. Once Windows 10 is loaded “Caps Lock” led on NexDock will start blinking showing that bluetooth keyboard & touchpad are in pairing mode. Using a wired/wireless mouse go to Settings/Devices/Bluetooth and search for “NexDock Keyboard”. Once found click on “Pair”; pairing code is not required. Enjoy NexDock powered by your PC Stick!
NexDock display resolution is 1366×768 and some of the OS such as Remix OS do not support this resolution. With Ubuntu OS you might need to change resolution to 1366×768 in another monitor before using with NexDock. To confirm there are no issues with NexDock please test the display with a Windows10 laptop that supports 1366×768 resolution using NexDock as secondary monitor.
In case you cannot connect to “NexDock Keyboard” delete it from paired connections on your device and try again. NexDock will always try to connect the last paired device so if you are using NexDock with multiple devices make sure the bluetooth connection is turned off on the device that you are NOT using and try again. You can also disconnect paired bluetooth connection from NexDock pressing first Function+Q (to unlock) and then Function+BT (to unpair) on the keyboard.
In case your PC Stick disconnects from NexDock bluetooth keyboard and touchpad when PC Stick goes to sleep, please follow the steps below to resolve the issue.
- Search “Device Manager” and click on it.
- Click on “Human Interface Drivers” and “Bluetooth HID Device” under the folder.
- Go to “Power Management” under “Bluetooth HID Device Properties” and un-check “Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power” option.
Click on OK to save settings.
Battery level is recognized only when NexDock is connected to a device via bluetooth so if you do not have any device connected via bluetooth you might experience flickering of display due to low battery.
In case NexDock does not turn off for any reason you can force shutdown by pressing and holding power button for 10-15 seconds.
