We want to change the way people use the computer through an innovative hardware concept: NexDock.

With their extremely powerful processors and versatile operating systems, today’s smartphones are powerful enough to become the epicenter of all personal computing. However, their power and mobility stop when you start working on your laptop or PC, which come with their own processors that you actually don’t need. NexDock simply breaks this barrier and extends the physical mobility of smartphones into the world of personal computing.

By separating processor & OS from the displays, we are hoping to start a paradigm shift in consumer electronics, which would dramatically reduce electronic waste to protect the environment and provide enduring, sustainable computers that you can simply upgrade and customize as years go by.

We envision a world where we carry only our smartphones which connect to any screen in the world to turn them into laptops and PCs.

At Nex Computer, we’re standing at the forefront of this movement.

Our Story

In 2016 we launched a crowdfunding campaign and raised $360K for the development of the first generation of NexDocks which turn PC Sticks, mini PC’s and W10 smartphones into a laptop. We’ve successfully shipped them to approximately 3,000 backers in 60 countries around the world. This was an exciting and awesome journey and we are very happy to see that there are thousands of backers around the world enjoying their NexDocks today.

In 2019 we introduced NexDock-2, in 2020 NexDock Touch, continued to improve laptop shells . NexDock simply turns smartphones, Raspberry Pi and many others into laptops at a fraction of the cost of actual laptops. When combined with NexDock, smartphones with “desktop mode”, such as Samsung DEX, Motorola Ready For or Huawei Easy Projection, can replace the need for carrying expensive laptops. 

This year we are shipping our 5th gen NexDock, the new NexPad and soon NexMonitor.

NexDock Wireless and NexPad brings us one step closer to our vision.

In the future, we plan on expanding the product range with additional Nex devices with variety of sizes and form factors.
