So far, money well spent.

I picked up 2 of these, one so I can easily ready/reply to emails from my phone, and the other to hook up the Rasberry Pi. So far it works pretty well with the phone, but not every program supports full screen modes (like Netflix or most games). Overall I’m pretty happy with it. I have an Logitech keyboard and mouse that each have their own wireless dongle and I can switch between that and bluetooth with the press of a button, so I can go back and forth between my work computer and the phone/dock without having to plug anything in. So far, money well spent.

As a user of the Nexdock 2 and Galaxy S8, S10, and now S22 Ultra, Pi 2, 3, Zero2, and a technician who has used my nexdock to diagnose HDMI cable paths (feed it from my phone or a Pi, check what a path is outputing on my nexdock or Desklab monitor or one of the cheapies that last two months) I agree that it’s almost useable, absolutely none of my uses ccases find my combination of devices to be perfect for each other.

But like so many drawn in by the Nexdock I have always been entranced by the idea of non-ccloud (or possibly Personal Area Network) and often let down by a lakc of integration and common design language between the manufacturers. Nexdock is a small outfit getting tech from Shenzehn and idea from the world, and making something close to what we ask for. I added my own bevy of cables, adapters, a pencil case to hold everything, two hair ties and some 3d printed sides to hold my phone, such that the phone hangs behind the nexdock and it’s camera is usable, if not the whole device.

Samsung can’t fix the compatability, Google can’t account for everything, and Nexdock can’t determine every little thing their own circuits do. But there are indeed, so many use ccases (though 80% are probably just like yours, not mine) that it is the small companies that will stumble on the right way to kill the laptop. And the big ones that will buy them out.

wonderful product

I write this comment on my Nexdock with my Samsung Galaxy S10.

At first I thought it was too expensive for what it is after receiving the bill for the customs fees that made the price go up 67 euros.

But in the end, with daily use, you just feel like you have a MacBook on hand. I feel outclassed.

The screen is of great quality, the keyboard is just great (although I often press the PgUp or End keys when I want to make a cartwheel return). And the keyboard backlighting is perfect.

The sound is pretty good for a laptop, it’s managed separately from the phone sound, on my Galaxy S9 I can switch to the phone sound or just turn the volume down more precisely.

You can vary the brightness of the screen, which is a must for all those who like me, use their PCs late at night without having to turn on the light.

I would like to thank the NexDock team for this wonderful product, I had hesitated to take the V1, but it seemed to me to be a bit cheap. I am happy to have been patient for this beautiful product.

I love my Nexdock 2 Touch

I love my Nexdock 2 Touch. As my light computing needs have switched to my S10 Plus, having a larger screen and keyboard is a great experience, better than a tablet. Of course it won’t satisfy a power user, it won’t truly replace a PC, but it’s plenty enough for the casual user from creating documents and bookkeeping to streaming videos or video chat (I chose to use the phone speakers).

I absolutely love using it

I have had mine for two months now, I have used it for S10, S8, Pi, my gaming PC while out at my friend’s place, and controlling NUCs at work as well as checking output of various devices while diagnosing faults. I do wish the weight was a bit better controlled (heavier bottom), I printed a little holder to carry my phone on the back of the screen but it tips back when angled too far. IIabsolutely love using it, and confusing people when I say “it’s a laptop with no proecssor, storage, or ram.”
