NexDock 360 Reviews

I have been using for a few years now
I have a nexdock touch that I have been using for a few years. Orginally bought it to use dex on my note 10+. But I have gotten so much more use out of it. I have had game systems hooked up to it, raspberry pi’s, used it for quite a while on a home server setup that had no monitor, and more recently with the raspberry pi again testing openauto pro for a possible diy android auto build.
It's a quite an army knife
My NexDock works as a monitor for RPi, as second monitor for a pc/laptop and as an android dock. This is not just a laptop without a computer. It still needs polish, I have the touch right now. It’s a quite an army knife of a device
NexDock is my main computer system
NexDock is honestly my main computer system these days for 90% of the things I do. The other 10% I connect to my Shadow PC (using their Android app) to play AAA games and other heavy Windows-only things. Honestly love it, but its certainly not for everyone (yet). It’s definitely the future of things though where a laptop form factor is just a smartphone accessory.
my work travel set up
My phone, a SteamDeck, and the NexDock 360 are my work travel set up and honestly it works pretty well. I’ve got a little portable dock to plug that all into and really the only downside is managing the cables. Sure a gaming laptop is a one stop shop that is way more powerful but a gaming laptop is also $TEXAS and less flexible.
Works really well for me
My work uses Citrix instances that connect us to remote servers, so my computer doesn’t do any actual computing anyway. DeX, and apps like Parsec and the Android version of Citrix, let me connect to my work and home computers from my S22 Ultra really easily. The build-quality is fine, nothing that makes me cringe and it’s fairly lightweight because it doesn’t have a computer inside. Trackpad doesn’t have palm rejection, but that’s a Samsung issue. Note that Parsec has some issues in wireless mode, sometimes it glitches out and you have to disconnect and reconnect the keyboard. Not a huge deal. Overall if you already have a flagship Samsung phone and were looking at a new laptop, I’d recommend just getting this instead if your laptop is mostly just temporary mobile work or connecting to remote machines. It’s a pretty niche use-case, but it works really well for me.
